We have a classic Queenslander. Does the film suit older homes?
Yes. The film is fitted to the benchtop itself, so the style or age of the house is irrelevant. It is cut and heat-sealed to match your island, sink cut-outs and edges.
Why is a film better than the sealer already on our stone?
A sealer slows staining but cannot stop acid etching, so wine and citrus still leave dull marks. DURAFLEX is a barrier over the stone, so those acids never reach the marble at all.
Can the kitchen be used the same day?
Yes. The single-visit install takes a few hours with no curing period, so the bench is ready that evening. There is also no maintenance routine to keep up afterwards.

Will I be able to see or feel it?
No. It’s optically clear and ultra-thin, so the stone looks exactly the same. Customers love the satin feel of our ULTRA Satin-X film (if that’s what you’re into).
Does it actually stop stains and etching?
DURAFLEX is completely non porous, meaning spills don’t stand a chance. Wine, coffee, oil and citrus wipe away completely, protecting the stone from etching and staining.
