Will the film survive heavy tomato and citrus cooking?
Yes. Tomato, lemon, vinegar and wine all contact the film rather than the marble, so the acid that normally etches and stains never reaches the stone. The bench stays unmarked through everyday cooking.
Does the film change how the marble looks?
No. DURAFLEX is clear and follows the existing finish, so the stone looks and feels the same. It is invisible once fitted.
Is it safe for constant food preparation?
It is. The film is independently CSIRO fire-tested and food-safe to wipe down and use as a normal benchtop, which suits a kitchen in daily use.
Will my kitchen be out of action long?

Will I be able to see or feel it?
No. It’s optically clear and ultra-thin, so the stone looks exactly the same. Customers love the satin feel of our ULTRA Satin-X film (if that’s what you’re into).
Does it actually stop stains and etching?
DURAFLEX is completely non porous, meaning spills don’t stand a chance. Wine, coffee, oil and citrus wipe away completely, protecting the stone from etching and staining.
How long does installation take?
