Our Paddington kitchen is in a heritage cottage. Does the film work on any benchtop shape?
Yes. The film is cut and heat-sealed to fit each surface, including curved edges, undermount sinks and waterfall ends. The character of an older home makes no difference to the install.
Will the film yellow over time in a north-facing kitchen?
No. DURAFLEX is engineered to stay clear, and yellowing is specifically covered by the up-to-10-year warranty. It holds up to Brisbane light without discolouring.
How is this different from the sealer my stonemason applied?
A penetrating sealer soaks into the stone and slows staining, but it cannot stop acid etching at all. DURAFLEX sits on top as a barrier, so citrus, wine and cleaners never touch the marble itself.
How long does installation take in an occupied home?
A few hours in a single visit, with no curing period. You can use the bench the same day, which suits families living through the tail end of a renovation.

Will I be able to see or feel it?
No. It’s optically clear and ultra-thin, so the stone looks exactly the same. Customers love the satin feel of our ULTRA Satin-X film (if that’s what you’re into).
Does it actually stop stains and etching?
DURAFLEX is completely non porous, meaning spills don’t stand a chance. Wine, coffee, oil and citrus wipe away completely, protecting the stone from etching and staining.
