DURAFLEX bonds over a properly sealed, polished surface and is heat-sealed at every edge by automotive-trained installers. It is independently CSIRO fire-tested to AS/NZS 1530.3 and made with engineered materials. It does not replace sealing or stonework, it goes over the seal to deliver the protection a sealer alone cannot.

Do I still need to seal my marble if I get DURAFLEX?

Will a sealer stop etching on its own?

Will I be able to see or feel it?
No. It's optically clear and ultra-thin, so the stone looks exactly the same. Customers love the satin feel of our ULTRA Satin-X film (if that's what you're into).
Does it actually stop stains and etching?
DURAFLEX is completely non porous, meaning spills don't stand a chance. Wine, coffee, oil and citrus wipe away completely, protecting the stone from etching and staining.
